I thought alot about what to say about Justin. What to say about this fun guy that always had a smile on his face. I remember when we first met he introduced himself as Pickels and I remember that he made the long drive to California even when there was nothing to see for hours tons of fun.
You are loved and missed by many Justin. I hope you are at peace. Pia

You know, I don't really remember the first time I met Justin. I just feel like I have always known him. I had the joy of babysitting two generations of people that meant the world to him: his wife and his son! =) What I remember about Justin is the short conversations we would have when he would come to my house to pick up Layne after work. Layne was just about two years old, and I loved how excited he would get the minute he saw his dad through the window. Justin always made me feel like I was talking to an old friend. I moved to Utah in 2004 and I haven't had as much contact with him and Amy and Layne as I'd like, but I will always remember how kind he was. He was so soft spoken, kind, always made you feel at ease. Amy especially holds a very special place in my heart as well. They were such a beautiful family and I am so sorry he is gone. He will be greatly missed.

A recent memory of Justin.... Amy one day was explaining to me how Justin had gone for a run bare foot, she felt that the toe shoes might have contributed to this thought. That same afternoon her little Layne came running into the office bare foot. When he was asked of why he was bare foot, he proudly proclaimed, "I can run like a cheetah."
Even though it made us all chuckle and giggle, this small act showed how much Layne looked up to and loved his daddy.
We love you Amy and Layne.
